Manerba del Garda, is located on the western shore of Lake Garda and consists of several villages (Solarolo, Montinelle, Balbiana, Pieve, Crociale and Gardoncino), surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. The city is located between Desenzano and Salò and it is easily reached via the Milan-Venice motorway, Desenzano exit. The shore is picturesque with the dominant rock of the Rocca di Manerba, which descends vertically towards the water and it is the landmark of this area. Inside the Fortress you will find the 9-hectare archaeological nature park and the Natural History Museum http://www.parcoroccamanerba.net/ . Opposite the hamlet of Manerba - Montinelle there is the island of San Biagio covered by cypresses, which can be reached on foot through the shallow waters and it offers beautiful bathing spots (with a small entrance fee). Other beaches (over 12 kilometers) are: Spiaggia della Romantica, Pisenze, Sasso, Dusano and San Sivino. The beach of Dusano is characterized by its romantic charm, created by the small old port and the magnificent view of the lake and the peninsula of Sirmione. In many restaurants you can taste the typical regional products oil, wine, lake fish, vegetables, truffles and honey. Manerba is versatile and invites to many activities: any kind of water sports, hiking, cycling and golf. Golf club 'Arzaga Golf' or 'Garda Golf - Coutry Club' are located just a few kilometers away. Manerba has many shops: traditional food, bakers and butchers, numerous specialized shops and supermarkets. Every Friday there is a large fresh road market.
